Licensed Psychologist
|
I am a master’s level psychologist licensed in the state of Vermont. My experience as a clinician and evaluator grew out of my work as a Speech Language Pathologist. After ten years in the field, my original fascination with communication led toward the critical role our emotional/behavioral selves play when we interact. The combination of my educational and work experience have underscored my focus on confidence and self worth as foundational in my work with clients. I have found that across ages, gender and diagnoses, the degree to which a person is able to accept and find value in themselves is a keystone toward resolution of their mental health related issues.
I earned my second Master’s Degree in the area of Counseling Psychology. I then worked in the Orleans Central School District for ten years performing psychological evaluations as well as therapy. I received my psychologist license in 2004 and was employed at Northeast Kingdom Human Services providing a variety of outpatient services for children, teens and adults as well as conducting evaluations including psychological and guardianship evaluations. I opened my private practice in 2010. In March of this year, 2024 my practice moved to the downstairs of the Barton Clinic. I'm currently working with teens and adults individually as well as with family members, including couples work. Additionally I do an EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs) and I conduct Guardianship Evaluations for the courts. |
